Our Story
A comeback built
from the inside out
Before Oak & Linen existed, I was a business owner who poured herself into her community. Giving back was woven into how I operated, not something I did on the side. I was proud of that.
Then I got sick. Not just tired or run-down. Genuinely, life-alteringly ill. Over time I was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases that took nearly everything I had built a sense of self around. The last three years have been the hardest of my life, and some of the most clarifying.
One thing I came to understand in a way I never had before: what it feels like to sit in an unkempt space and be completely physically unable to do anything about it. The helplessness of that. The way it quietly chips away at your dignity and your peace. I lived that.
Oak & Linen Cleaning is my comeback. It is also my way of turning that experience into something useful for others who know exactly what I am talking about.

Because I know what it feels like to need help and not be able to ask for it, Oak & Linen sets aside complimentary one-time cleans for members of our community who are chronically ill, disabled, or facing circumstances that have made keeping up with their home feel impossible.
There is no application process, no hoops, no judgment. You can nominate yourself or someone you care about. Nominations are kept completely confidential, and if you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can leave your own contact information blank.
We will reach out directly to the person being nominated to arrange everything from there.
